Will Browns TE play against Bengals today?

The Cleveland Browns were without their Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku a week ago against the Kansas City Chiefs and could be without him again in this Week 16 showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Due to a hamstring injury, Njoku was limited in practice this week and even missed some time on the practice field. When the Browns returned to practice at the end of the week, they listed Njoku as questionable against the Bengals.

Find out everything you need to know about Njoku’s matchday status in Week 16!

Update on David Njoku’s injury

The Browns have listed Njoku as questionable for this game against the Bengals. After missing last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, Njoku practiced Friday as the Browns prepared for their AFC North rival.

Njoku was a tough player who suffered severe ankle sprains and severe skin burns. So if Njoku can go, he will play.

How long will David Njoku be out?

Hopefully Njoku can play in this game against the Bengals. After a Pro Bowl season a year ago, Njoku would be on track to have another had he not struggled with injuries this season for the Browns.

At the end of the day, Njoku remains a long-term player for the Browns, so there is nothing to judge about his future with the team moving forward. If he has to rest the final weeks of a lost season when the Browns are 3-11, it wouldn’t hurt his future in Cleveland.

Brown’s tight end depth chart

If Njoku can’t go, it will once again be Jordan Akins taking the majority of the tight end snaps for the Browns. A former basketball player at the University of Central Florida, he’s a threat but isn’t much of a blocker.

The Browns also have tight ends Geoff Swaim and Blaker Whiteheart on the roster as reinforcements at the tight end position.
