LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Early morning low temperatures will drop into the 40s in Las Vegas this Monday, with northerly winds developing 15-25 mph by midday and sunny skies.

Afternoon highs will reach near 60° while north winds continue to blow at 10-20 mph. Tonight the temperature will drop to 40 degrees at 7:00 p.m. and in Las Vegas tonight the temperature will drop to the mid 30s, which is a few degrees below average and the coldest temperature we’ve had so far this fall. Sustained northerly winds at 10-20 mph mean wind chill values ​​will be over 20 degrees tonight and early Tuesday!

Tomorrow will see sunshine, a very cold morning in the 30s and 40s, daytime highs in the mid 50s and morning gusts around 20 mph decreasing to 10 mph by late afternoon. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning the temperature will drop back down to the mid 30s with calm winds and partly cloudy skies.

On Wednesday (57°) and Thursday (59°), denser high clouds at times with light winds and overnight lows in the upper 30s, which is average for mid-December. A rise to the low 60s Friday, this weekend and early next week.

Milder highs in the mid-60s are likely the week before Christmas. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s most of these nights. There are indications that isolated light showers are forecast again in the days before Christmas.
