Windy with dropping temperatures

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Typically the highest temperatures on any given day are in the afternoon hours, but Thursday will not be a typical day. The highest readings are reached in the morning until early afternoon. A front will not only lower our temperatures, but it will also increase our winds dramatically.

Speaking of wind, a strong wind warning was issued for parts of northern Nebraska Thursday morning and into the afternoon hours. Gusts can reach up to 60 miles per hour. Meanwhile, a wind advisory has been issued for areas of eastern Nebraska (including Lincoln) where wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour may occur. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to hang Christmas decorations outside.
