Wolves vs Man United: Amorim complains of “aggression” in defeat

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim called for a more aggressive side after Thursday’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves.

The result was United’s third consecutive defeat and means the club has won just two of Amorim’s eight Premier League games as manager.

United suffered a setback when captain Bruno Fernandes saw red two minutes just after half-time before Matheus Cunha scored straight from a corner to give Wolves the lead, with Hwang Hee-Chan doubling the lead in the dying moments of the game.

“We need to improve relationships, but we have some moments,” Amorim told Amazon Prime after the game.

“We lack a bit of aggression, but we don’t train. We just play and try to find a better way to win games and that’s it. We can’t control the games like the others we lost. I think. “We always had control of the game, we didn’t always dominate, but we had control of some things, some set pieces. The sending off was really hard for us.

United’s problems continued under Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag in November, with the team claiming just four wins in all competitions.

According to ESPN Global Research, it is the first time since September 2023 that United have lost three games in a row in all competitions.
