You probably missed the key post-credits scene of Squid Game season 2

I’ve never been the biggest fan of TV shows that air post-credits scenes, as they’re easy to miss and sometimes the streaming service itself minimizes the window during the credits before you even see them. But for Squid Game Season 2, Netflix lets the credits roll for a while after Episode 7, so you can see a short clip introducing Season 3. But that’s it very short, and I wouldn’t be shocked if 90% of people missed it. Of course, spoilers follow.

The sequence, which I will not post a bootleg version of here, includes the following:

• Three players look at a hanging version of the robot girl from Red Light, Green Light, the motion-sensitive robot that causes people to get shot at. The shirt may be a different color, but that could just be due to the lighting.
• One of the players is number 100, who is in the most debt of all and definitely wants to continue the games. I don’t know if we’re supposed to remember who #096 and #353 are, who are also introduced.
• We see another large robot, this time a boy with a small hat, seemingly a counterpart to the girl, as part of this new game. I don’t know if it has motion-sensitive eyes, and I can’t see it in the photo.
• Then a red and a green light are actually displayed, even though they are attached to a level crossing indicator. Behind it we see what looks like part of a fake house, but that’s all I can say.

The point here is that the games will continue from here despite the uprising that left dozens of players and guards dead. Season 2 only covered the first three games of the week, so season 3 will undoubtedly cover the final three. This is probably the fourth. There was 100 players left after the third game before the events of the final, but after the O’s took the ?

I suspect that despite being captured by the frontman, Gi-hun will be thrown back into the games. His “core” group was decimated as his friend died outside of the game and the frontman went back to being the frontman and faked his own death as a player. Other characters such as the mother and son, the pregnant woman and the transsexual special forces soldier are still alive and acting. On the “evil” side, the businessman, the shaman lady and the addicted Thanos lackey (RIP Thanos) are still alive.

So the games continue and I would be shocked if the third season (supposedly in 2025) doesn’t take us through all three final games. But who will Gi-hun face in the final? Can it be anyone other than the frontman? And what is this new game about?
