“You were talking shit”: When Andrew Tate called his former sponsor

The name Andrew Tate needs no introduction. The controversial social media star has been the talk of the internet for some time now. The former kickboxer gained global popularity during the COVID-19 crisis when his controversial views went viral.

Regardless of how he is perceived by the audience, Tate doesn’t shy away from making his thoughts heard. In addition, he is always quick to respond to haters and people who talk about him. The same thing happened when his former sponsor remembered that “Cobra” used to work for him for just £50. The two began working together briefly in 2012.

During an interview with Daily Star, Sidekick Boxing founder Daniel Knight recalled when Tate suggested he couldn’t make it to a kickboxing show unless he loaned him £50. However, his application was rejected.

The news quickly spread like wildfire online and apparently caught the attention of the controversial social media star. During an interview with James Sweetnam, Knight revealed that Tate was unhappy with his comments about the situation. Knight revealed what “Cobra” said to him:

“The first thing he said was, ‘You talked shit about me. It’s obviously about that 50 pounds.”
