Zach LaVine’s injury status for Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets

Zach LaVine’s injury status for Chicago Bulls vs. Charlotte Hornets

The Chicago Bulls face the Charlotte Hornets. It could have been a very entertaining fight between the two Ball brothers, but unfortunately there are far too many injuries to allow that. However, Chicago should still have an advantage over the Hornets with seven wins

Chicago has a serious injury record involving eight different players, including the team’s star player, Zach LaVine.

LaVine was officially listed as a likely player against the Hornets due to lower back spasms.

As much as there has been talk about LaVine’s availability, he has only missed three games for the Chicago Bulls this season, playing in 22 of the team’s 25 games. In those 22 games, LaVine averaged 22.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists on 51/43/80 shooting from the field.

If the Chicago Bulls’ mission this season was to restore LaVine’s value, then it certainly succeeded. He hasn’t scored as many 24 points per game as he did two seasons ago, but LaVine has been a bona fide star for the Bulls again this season. It seems clear that he is now ready to be a star on a legitimate contending team like the Golden State Warriors. It remains to be seen whether the Bulls will actually trade him.

The Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets meet tonight at 8:00 PM EST.
